These are pictures of my newest build. a dulcimer inspired by the galax style. top is cypress and back is butternut walnut. I used boxwood viola pegs as tuners.
I have been working on a project of paving a section out my front door, so I have a patio both in front & in back. That way I can fine a shady spot no matter the time of the day. I like playing my dulcimer outside & this will give me more options instead of running inside.
Nice work. Nice wood. I have a top glued up of Eastern Red Cedar, locally grown, that has some nice knots. I think I'll coat the inside of the knots with epoxy so they won't crack or fall out.
Not bad, kinda hot.
