Great photo, Robin. I am going to make you famous this week--at least to 66 teenage girls (and at least for their five minute attention spans). We've been covering the King Arthur tales and studying maps of (England) Logres, (Wales) Gwynedd and Powys, and (Scotland) Lothian. Now, we can use some REAL photographs rather than anonymous images from the interwebs.
The land is poor but the sea is rich - and that's how most survived. But when the big estate land owners put sheep on the hills and drove the settles to the poorer land by the shoreline it was all over really. Canada must have seemed like heaven - no shortage of firewood, plenty of game, the rice grows wild and you can get sugar from the trees - How good is that!!!! I would have moved too!!!!!!

Hi Starbuck - yep it is a little cool up there but better to be in the breeze than out of it unless you want to be ravaged by theHighland midges
