Those homecomings in Hindman were fun. I miss Mike. I, too, have participated in the online homecomings. I thought of Mike every time they mentioned the tech guy.
"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
I "attended" some events at this year's virtual Hindman Dulcimer Homecoming and I can assure all Mike Slone is fondly remembered. And the gentleman doing camera/technical work for the fest carries the same name as our departed friend. I greatly enjoyed the Hindman Homecoming of '22!
What a time that was! Great fun in a wonderful setting. Sorry to say, at least one of these gentlemen has passed away since then -- Mike Slone, to whom all dulcimore fanciers owe a huge debt of gratitude.
Yes, the good ole' days!
Ah, the good old days! Great photo.
Fantastic Robin that you all got together with such a great bunch of "Scoundrels"!
Ken, the were perfect gentlemen!
Great pix of a great bunch of players. I am sure they were all gentlemen around the charming ladies.
Kevin, Kathy wasn't nervous but I was! Haha!
This photo is of FOTMD members me & Kathy V with Kevin's "scoundrels" John Knopf, Ken Longfield, Mike Slone, Dulcimore Dan Cox, and Rob Lackey. :)
It was surely both pleasure and privilege to get to spend time in Hindman!
That's such a great group!
Robin, would you name everyone from left to right, for the benefit of members who don't know them?
Kevin.... scoundrels ...lolol
Very nice pictures Robin. Were you and Kathy a bit nervous in the company of such scoundrels ? LOL Hope you all had fun.
