I apologize for the inadequate lighting! Please rely on your ears, friends. :)
Here's a brief demonstration of how to make a few quick tuning changes (keys of D, A, and G) in a multi-instrument jam on a mountain dulcimer played in noter/drone style.
Key of D tuning: Dda
Key of A tuning: Eea (using false nut at fret 1)
Key of G tuning: Ddg
Key of C tuning: Ccg

Good for a re-listen.
Charles,
Since the bass & middle drones are both tuned to the same note, it is a handy re-tune to slip the false nut under both strings. For jamming, quick re-tunes are good! :)
Robin, Thanks for the great demonstration!! I really liked the part about using a false nut under both drones, I usually use it just under the bass drone string(I made it out of a leftover guitar bridge pin that I cut a small notch for the string).
Friends, I hope this video helps someone with re-tuning for jamming.
Thank you for the comments!
This is amazing!!! ~I knew none of this~ Thank you so much!!!!
Robin, thanks for adding the written out tunings- extremely helpful especially because of your soft voice.
This is a GREAT video that will be helpful to soooo many people for a long time to come!
Take care of your throat Robin. Your demo is helpful thank you.
I've had throat problems three times in recent months-- too much particulate matter in the air. I apologize for not making myself be well understood, Lexie! Please see the written description for clarification.
Patty & Lexie, I hope the video is of benefit!
Nice demo Robin. Although I understood your demonstration, I just couldn't hear all your words. I think it is the horse throat you seem to have and I do have some hearing impairment.
Not your typical DAA or DAd. Thanks for the demo, Robin! I'll have to save this on my Youtube favs.
