Mark is playing a Martin 0001-R and I'm playing a Timbre Hill (luthier Paul Conrad) mountain dulcimer; the mountain dulcimer is diatonically fretted and I'm ...
You two are so smooth, that it always shocks me that I can only play it about half as fast. You make it look easy, but put a metronome on it and it's sizzling!
You two have such a great sound - it is something really special

Many thanks, friends, from me and and my favorite guitar picker. We love sharing these old-timey tunes and hope to encourage folks to make homemade music. And you never know what you'll get with making music; Mark had been taking a nap before we went outside to play and had felt a bit space-y (his word). (I teased him about speeding-up on me on this one. )
Robin and Mark ... you know ... I'm finding more music and songs that I like. I have started a file in my computer of 'songs I want to learn'. You guys are ahead by about a 2 to one margin. 'Cindy' is a favorite and, Robin, I love the way you play it. I'll be adding this one to my 'wish' list. Thanks to both of you for the entertainment and 'feel good' music you so freely share.
Cindy, your theme song is a good one! Dance! :)
Oh my gosh - it's my theme song! It makes me want to dance! Love it!
Thanks, Bobby!
Ken, these old fiddle tunes are a joy to play! They feel just perfect for porch players like me & Mark.

Cindy,
How lovely that your dad played Cindy for you and, even though he may not have realized it at the time, gave you memories to cherish by doing so.
Thank you for your kind comment about our play.
Thank you, Robin!
I've come to think I should describe what we're playing as our translations of old Appalachian fiddle tunes.
Oh I just love that!!!!

Thank you, a great example of smooth noter play IMHO !
my best wishes to you both

Very nice. Your playing is so patient, and yet the melody just bounces along.
You guys are my fav MD/guitar duet....I love this song!
Great job on that...really fun! I always enjoy what y'all come up with!
