Thank you ladies! Yes the melody string placement is for aggressive play as this instrument lends itself to being wailed on. I have some hand made "horn" plectrum I look forward to trying on this piece. I like the way horn "clacks" on the strings.
So handsome! I like that the melody string is well centered over the staples... no chance of the string slipping over the staple edge with vigorous playing.
this is just beautiful!!! I see that you have the melody string quite into the instrument not so close to the edge. I should think that this would make it easier to play with a noter. aloha, irene
