I thought I had posted this tune a while back but can't find any evidence of it, so I recorded it anew. Some rhythm and new lyrics added to this children's classic.
I am playing a dulcimer made by Terry McCafferty of cherry and redwood and tuned DAd.

Love familiar old tunes Dusty. REALLY love your update. That dulcimer sounds fantastic!
I'm glad you liked it, @Steven-Berger.
Highly enjoyable, Dusty!
Thanks, @John-W-Mckinstry. I wrote the words to this a few years ago when my daughter was obliged to play it on the piano. My goal was to show her how to have fun with a song even if it seemed kind of childish. The rest of the stuff like Wildwood Flower and the bluesy licks evolved slowly since then. The song never comes out the same way twice!
Loved your creativity with this song. Very entertaining. Thanks
Thanks, @Ariane. I appreciate your listening and taking the time to comment.
What a great performance, Dusty! I enjoyed it very much!
Aw shucks, @Strumelia. Your comments are genuinely making me blush.
This is terrific, Dusty! You truly Da Man. Wow, those blues chords and variations really blow me away... and wildwood flower, and hogfiddles too...
Thanks for listening, @Macaodha.
A blast from the past, love the new lyrics and the very fine accompaniment. Top class Dusty.
Thanks for your encouragement, @Christine-Shoemaker and @Terry-Wilson. I appreciate it.
Hey Dusty, that was fun. Wow.....enjoyed it very very much. Love love your strumming variety. I believe you and Christine are from the same tree.
Oh yeah, Dusty!!! I LOVE what you did to this. Most excellent work!
Thanks @Sam. I love the sound of this dulcimer, too.
What a performance! Great job Dusty. Love the sound of that cherrywood dulcimer.
Thanks for listening, @Gordon-Hardy. I appreciate your taking the time to comment.
What a terrific performance Dusty! Lots of fun and lots of variation. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Thanks so much, @Elvensong. This is a fun one, but it only works for an audience of dulcimer players.
Fantastic Dusty! This brought a smile to my face!
