Thanks Steve! Karen is playing the flute on this one. We wrote this tune and dedicated it to Bing Futch. He pointed us in the direction of the Native American flute about 3-4 years ago. Since then, we've had the opportunity to perform this tune with him playing along as well a few times here and there. He has been a wonderful friend and mentor to us since the first time we met. Karen and I had just started playing the dulcimer (we were still largely clueless LOL), but he saw something in us that we didn't see in ourselves at the time. From that time, he has been there for us from the fun stuff to helping Karen and I through some tough times when my mom passed away last March. The way we see it, he's just our wonderful crazy brother. The least we can do is compose a tune in his honor. Thank you so much for giving it a listen.

Nice composition and playing.I love the sound of that flute
John, I will also have a couple of dump trucks worth sent down, just so you don't feel left out. Patty, my sister-in-law is a director for the Department of Agriculture but is from ND. She finds it hilarious that if it even smells like snow, DC is shut down but they don't have the equipment to deal with it.
Ken, he probably got an inch, maybe, LOL. John, if you want some more I think my neighbors and I would be more than happy to send you some By the way, true to form, it snowed about 4 to 5 inches and the Federal Government is closed

Snow Day?? In Louisiana ? How much snow did you get, John.
Thanks Patty! I think that the warmer weather is coming soon. We have a chance of a little more winter weather later this week, but a "chance" is usually all it ever amounts to around here lol.
Aw...thank y'all! We have actually lived in places that get real snow (and snow totals), but these are the biggest snowflakes that we have ever seen!

Seeing snow in Louisiana is a real treat. it makes me feel like a little kid that gets to play in the snow. It is definitely a treat for us. Sadly...it has all melted now and we probably will not see it again for many years. Thanks for all your sweet comments.
Well I can't say the snow rivals what my folks are experiencing in New England, but the photos they've sent aren't accompanied by such wonderful music. Nice work, J & K!
J & K, nice playing and nice video. That must be a real novelty for you to have now way down there. Does everyone rush outside to play in it?

Thanks Pamela...I think many folks around here would take you up on your offer! It's funny, but it's so rare around here that we just see it in a totally different way than people who get real winter weather do. I think perspective is the key lol.
Thanks Jan! We hope to see you this summer!
Great song and performance, you two! Really enjoyed it!

It's the traffic concern for us as well. Two of our three interstate highways were closed (too many overpasses).
Ken, I think it has more to do with traffic than the snow. On a good day traffic is bad around here. Put snow in the mix and it's a disaster.

The snow isn't what got us out today, it was the ice and sleet accumulation before the snow arrived. It's all gone now lol.

Thanks Dusty! Nah, it's nothing like folks are getting out east, but it was a rare treat for us!
