Karen's arrangement of "Creole Beau" inspired by the 1900 tune "Creole Belle." It has little in common with the original, but it's a fun tune! This is the Louisiana premiere of the tune at Northwestern State University (one week after the actual premiere in Woodburn, Indiana) in July of 2015.

Thanks you guys.  Hey Dusty...I listened to that one too.  I read somewhere on line that he fashioned his arrangement after Creole Belle, which was originally written in 1900.

Thanks Dusty!  That is definitely one of the influences for the tune, but Karen just kind of went her own direction with it.  It's one of my favorite things that she has come up with so far.

This is really nice. I remember an old Mississippi John Hurt tune called Creole Belle, but I don't think that was the original one. And this one, with its minor blues sound is totally different anyway.

Nice work both of you. This tune has a nice, haunting feel to it.
