Quen a omagen da virgen. Ein Marienlied aus dem Cantigas de Santa Maria. Der Cantigas de Santa Maria ist eine Liedersammlung von Alfonso el Sabio (Alfonso X), King of Castille and León (1221-1284).
Gespielt im www.DulcimerStore.de in Ludwigsburg von Ute Spahmann und Martin Oesterle unter Mitwirkung eines "tierischen Handshakers" sowie einer Shrutibox.
Der Dulcimer ist ein altes Saiteninstrument, dessen Wurzeln bis hin zum späten Mittelalter reichen. Er ist ein Verwandter des Scheitholts, welches vom Musiker und Musikschriftsteller Michael Praetorius (1571 – 1621) zum ersten Mal erwähnt wurde. Das Instrument ist aufgrund seiner diatonischen Stimmung leicht zu spielen und intuitiv zu erlernen. Mit den ersten Siedlern gelangte das einfache Instrument nach Amerika und ist dort auch heute noch, vor allem in den Bergregionen der Appalachen, in der Country und Folkmusik weit verbreitet. Auch in Deutschland wird das Instrument seit einiger Zeit wieder zunehmend beachtet.
