Hi Robert, I have been on a Sacred Heart exploration journey myself recently and have just found your video. Loved it, relaxed playing on a great sounding instrument, as John K says ! I am with you on trying to decide how it is I play a tune, when I start to think about it too much, its gone !!

well, I had that book years ago, but I don't remember that part of it. I think it's just an unconscious attempt to do some strumming like in flamenco guitar (maybe.... not sure.) I'll probably try to analyze it and lose the technique; that would be about par for me!Robert
I like the way you use the single thumb out-stroke strum. Jean Ritchie describes this basic traditional strum style in detail in her book, but you are the first person I have seen who actually uses it- awesome. Jean talked about how you keep the drones ringing with the thumb if you are using a noter in the other hand.
