John, Kim's got a generous heart! You'll get no pardon from me, though!
Robin C, methinks you'd enjoy spending time with Ken Bloom.
Stephanie, in one or two of my more recent videos, I'm sitting on a kid's furniture chair. It gives me a lap that doesn't slope when I sit in it. A friend gave the chair to me-- it's oak and is pretty cool!
Strumelia, the bowed dulcimer in the wooden case is Maestro Bloom's. It's got ebony for the back and sides, a spruce top, a carved open scroll on the headstock, and a fleur de lis inlayed on the tail piece. The instrument on the right is a four-string fretless that is, I think, strung in cello order (as opposed to dulcimer order in which the high string is closest to the body).
The weekend was a blast, Barbara-- there's hanging-out with friends and playing music. Admiring the many different styles/configurations of bowed dulcimers is always fun, too, especially if Ken Bloom has finished an instrument that its new owner is to pick-up at the fest. This festival is like a family reunion-- and I mean that in the best way!
Hey, we are a beauty and a beast-- and I'm most definitely the beast ! Well, maybe I'm more like troll.
I can't adequately express what a joy it was to spend some time with Kim over the weekend. She's a lovely young woman and we're fortunate she is part of FOTMD.
Strumelia, I built my outfits around my FOTMD button.

Nice to see folks meeting up in person. And Robin, nice button!
Nice, Robin, bet it was a fun time
Cool! Either Kim is really tall, or...ummm...let's just go with Kim is really tall.
Wonderful!!!! So many new friendships.
Hey Robin, did you purposely match your shirt to your FOTMD button, or was it pure coincidence?
