Kevin, Ken is always generous in sharing what he knows and how his thinking changed, evolved over the years he's been building BD's.It'd be really special for your son-in-law to play a BD you'd built.

Robin ,that is a beautiful instrument, Ken did a wonderful job.My son inlaw has been after me to make one of these, he wants to play it with his band.
