Robin has been a great inspiration to me with his beautiful noter/drone technique and his replica instruments. I have neither the instruments nor his techniq...
Spaiseba Volha. I am starting to get noter/drone to sound like I want it to. He's a great guy to listen to, over and over. Lots of snow and down to 40 degrees below zero at one point. It was below zero F for over a month. I sure hope you are going to love that Hensley. It was done in December, wonder why he took so long to mail it?
Thank you Helen, loving that noter/drone on the one I built. 40 below F (with wind chill is the lowest we had, but was below zero for everyday for over a month straight. And you're at the beach?
Wow Randy I really appreciate that, I feel like that stick and I are talking to each other about a long life together. I've come over to the dark side. That's the dulcimer I built from the McSpadden kit and I'm lovin' it.
Thank you John, and I wanted to tell you that video Sugar Hill you did - couldn't sleep one night, and what fun it was keeping up with you and Cory learning that one!
Robin thank you so much for your very generous comments about my playing. Very interesting to hear about the lambing storms, and sad too. Here with the sustained below zero weather, the electrical lines are catching fire and causing power outages. I would sure love to see your country, even made a pathetic stab at Welsh at one time. I really love and appreciate your clips that I can put on itunes and listen to over and over. Thank you.
Hey - I've just got home from band practice and found your video Great playing Cynthia - wonderful rhythm and timing - and that is the hardest part of playing. You coax a great old style tone from your dulcimer Wow - you have a lot of snow! We have nothing left here in Wales, just a few ribbons on the mountains. But it is still early yet and we could get the lambing storms at the end of March - every few years they come and dump late season snow on the hills and a lot of sheep and lambs are lost.
Thanks so much for posting your video and dedicating it to me - I'm really honoured that you felt inspired by some of my tunes
Thank you so much Lynn, listen to Robin do it now. I have worked on that one though. This is my day wear, go get the mail in it and all. The only people who comment are the ones who say, "I wish could get away with wearing that to work."
I like to listen him too, he has a big amount of beautiful recordings! And I want to study noter/drone too.

Thank you Paul, now listen to Robin Clark play it really beautifully.
Appreciate you kind comments Patty, I'm beginning to crumble around the edges. Falling apart is not necessarily a bad thing.
Thanks James.
You did great! That's a lot of snow. It's been cold here but I know if it's cold here it's colder where you are. Hang in there. Spring will come
great job!
Thanks Mandy, love your new dulcimer too, and sorry for your troubles.
Nice job on this Cynthia. WOW that is a lot of snow!

Glad you liked the playing Ken. Yes, Greta has a knitted sweater. One door won't open, one won't close, it's getting old.
You got it Ben - Just As I Am just as I am!
