Thanks for listening Brian! FYI...I'm falling in love with John Doyle and I'll bet you know of him!!
Dusty, we're in different time zones!!! I'm going to put up a real 'sleep enducer' this weekend.
Rob, you're a honky tonk man! I admit I wasn't real familiar with these 2 songs but have now heard several versions of each. They are so well known, I'm embarrassed that I didn't know them. So many people I love have performed both of them!!
Well, Janene, I have a promise to do "Long Black Veil" and then I'll try to get up "I Never Will Marry." Yes, we seem to have similar tastes in music. If we're ever at the same place, we'll have to come up with a duet; maybe the Jerry Jeff Walker/Carole King version of "I'll be your San Antone Rose?"
Rhonda, I heard that from someone on my last video, they couldn't view it from this website on their tablet...not having flashplayer or something...but if you can view YouTube with no problem, I post there under Janene M or 6fids and here is a direct link to that song (I wonder if it is anything like the one you remember)
Thanks much Rob! I searched to see if you've posted your version...but couldn't find one. But found your Little Rosewood Casket which I play, and yours if very different and enjoyed it! We also both play Pancho & Lefty. We've made some like choices in songs.
Lordy, Janene, that was beautiful. A little different than I play it, but that's what makes this kind of music fun: all the little differences in "regional variations." Keep 'em coming.
Very pretty. I had never heard that song before. Thanks for sharing.
Douglas--So glad you feel inspired as so many have inspired me to try favorite tunes on the dulcimer!
Julie, thanks for listening!
Thank you Patty & Geekling....
my husband is a military historian, he never forgets our anniversay
Very lovely Janene! 30 years of marriage is something to cherish!!!
John, thanks as always for sampling the stuff I put up here.... and I DID marry, 30 years ago (last D-Day).
So very nice...wow!
Rhonda, oh my, thank you so much, glad you were able to find it.
I do indeed. Excellent guitarist. :)
