It has come to my attention that I do NOT enunciate the lyrics well at all in my songs. I think I knew this but let it slide. But since lyrics are so important in these old song stories, I thought I'd try to provide them. I'm experimenting with sites that will host PDF documents. Don't know if this will work, but here are the lyrics to this song (and summary of chords)
Thank you forthe kind comments. I keep looking for these songs and it's rewarding to find others enjoy the really "old stuff" too.

So frustrated that this is not showing up on my iPad. I don't understand why some do and some don't....sure wish I could hear this Janene!
That was beautiful! Your voice and playing are so nice. My dogs, who were in the other room, heard the bird squeaking and came in to see what was going on. My little cockapoo, Sandy, is standing in front of me with a questioning look on his face. Now he's walking around trying to find that bird!
I am so pleased you all enjoy these old melodies as I do...the verses...love lost, love found. There are so many of them out there to discover.
I need a bird MUZZLE! He's almost 30' away...and if I go to a different part of the house, the circus really begins. Maybe I'll let him sit on my shoulder when I play..but I think he'll cluck like a chicken (his version of purring). He's not eventhe bird that loves music...that one just quietly sways to the music.
Once again I posted the wrong tuning. On the PDF its says DAD, I'm singing it in Eb Bb Eb as indicated on the video

Absolutely beautiful playing and singing as ever Janene
Wonderful! :)

Just beautiful!
Thanks Janene. Nicely done, as always!
Janene, I'm up for seeing both birds on your shoulders while playing.
You do these Celtic songs so beautifully, I love your voice Janene.
At first I was trying to figure out the squeak, I think maybe it would be fun to see you play with your bird on your shoulder.

I'm going to echo the same adjective everyone else said, Beautiful! Your bird did a fair job too
Beautiful presentation. I love the words of the old songs, sung so simply, and the melody on the dulcimer. A great combination.
That was beautiful, Janene. Your voice and playing suit these old laments so well. Methinks your blackbird needs oiling, though
Another beautiful job...wow.
This is beautiful Janene. Your playing and singing are such a good fit together and always a pleasure to listen to.
Lovely voice and piece.
With your own little Blackbird for backing vocals, very , very nice.
