John & Karen Keane performing at St. Paul UMC in El Dorado, Arkansas (August, 2014). These are all of the tunes before the battery on the camera conked out.
Hey y'all! Thanks so much! We really appreciate that y'all took the time to check it out.

Thanks so much Tom, Ken, and Karel.Hey Tom...maybe you could show me how to play the harmonica as well. I have some, but I am clueless. LOL.Hey Ken...we hate that you missed it too. You sure missed a great time and a lot of fun. Maybe we will see you next year.Hello Karel,Violin Dank. Ich bersetze dies zu Deutsch ... so dass ich hoffe, es kommt einen Sinn. John und ich danken Ihnen fr Ihre freundlichen Worte und vielen Dank fr Ihre Aufmerksamkeit
Oh, Keane Couple. Churches a great place to play, wonderful acoustics. Ya done good in front of the home town crowd! I wish I could have joined you at the Homer Ledford festival but just couldn't get away
Nice! I especially liked the blues at around the 6 minute mark. I'll have to try playing along on harmonica.

Thanks everyone for taking a listen. It was a great crowd and I was glad to meet some folks that John grew up with. He knows just about everyone that I grew up with, because we all went to college together. I haven't had that same pleasure with the folks that he grew up with in El Dorado, so that was a real treat to get the scope on my young John. Boy the stories I could tell. LOL. Anyway, thanks to you all. Hugs
Thanks Dusty! The music director at the church actually made a comment about the missing logo shirts lol! Oh well...we'll break them out again for the concert this weekend at the Homer Ledford Festival. Thanks so much for takin' a look!
No crazy hats? No Bigfoot t-shirt? No kitschy Americana? I can barely recognize you guys!
Well, that's true until I hear the music. You guys sound great, as always, and it's especially nice to hear a performance in a place with such nice acoustics. Great work, J & K!
That music sitting just below John looks like the font is perfect for someone with my aging eyes!
Thanks Jud! Words cannot describe the wonderful feeling of playing for the hometown crowd. They were such a giving audience...just wow. Helen, we were honestly all over the place with tunings on this show, but the tunes on the video are pretty much in C and D. As a general rule of thumb, the tunes with flutes use a flute tuned to the relative minor of the major key (except for blues, which would be a C minor flute for C major dulcimer, and so forth). It sounds complicated, but it really isn't.
Thank y'all so much! Steven, these dulcimers are Folkroots customs made by Folkcraft. We cannot say enough about how pleased we have been with these instruments. The gang at Folkcraft has really taken the time to figure out what we like. In turn, they have produced some incredible instruments for us.
Thanks Patty! This was an extremely special experience for us. This was in my hometown, but I hadn't played a note of music there in 33 years. It was very rewarding to say the least.
Thanks Gary!
Thanks Gary....it was a great time. John and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for listening.
Very enjoyable performance thank you!

You sure did justice to the setting! Nice to hear about your musical homecoming, John--I'm sure it must've been sweet.
Thanks Guy! Much appreciated!
Lovely!
