Thanks Irene! Many of the folks in this video have moved on to high school this school year, but the returning members are helping me to train the new bunch. Our group this year has almost doubled in size, but we (unfortunately) won't be performing anywhere soon due to restrictions in our state at this time. One of the students made his dulcimer from a kit, but the rest were already made (I acquired the box dulcimers through a grant). We believe in the cajon! The reason everyone is sitting on a cajon is because everyone played the cajon at some point during the performance. We appreciate you taking a look!
FANTABULOUS to have all those kids learning as well as they are and your cajon player keeping everyone in time. I just loved this. I noticed March 5. before this covid stupid stuff. I hope you are somehow still playing with this group, maybe out in a park somewhere. Thanks for passing this joyful instrument around. Did each have a hand in making their own instrument? aloha, irene

Dusty, thank you so much! Rest assured that I've picked up a few things from you over the years as well!
Great to hear you spreading the joy, John. I learned this tune from one of your videos years ago, so count me as one of your students.
