As for a chorus effect on my dulcimers, I have tried various types including a rack mount Alesis effects processor, a Danelectro foot switch, and the one built into my Peavey Ecoustic amplifier. While both are fun to experiment with, I have not used them in a performance or recording type setting.
One observation I have made is that the chorus can't be effectively used when playing with other dulcimers as the it tends to make the instruments sound out of tune. That probably wouldn't be the case if the dulcimers were tuned in different octaves, like a bass and standard or baritone and standard.
I have L.R. Baggs pickup systems installed under the bridge of all of my dulcimers. I got tired of fighting feedback from microphones when I performed. So, I began having the pickup systems installed in my dulcimers one at a time over the years.
Since the dulcimer is such a quiet instrument and I have a light touch, the pickups have allowed me to be much more expressive with my playing than would be possible with a microphone. I have actually walked off stage at a couple of dulcimer festivals because the sound man couldn't seem to control the feedback coming off the microphone! The pickup provides me with a certain level of comfort and confidence, knowing that my music will be heard without feedback "enhancement."
Marc, You asked if there was a tab available for The Lass of Patti's Mill. This is one of the arrangements from my Tune of the Month lessons. Subscribers can order it as a back issue.
well done lovely tune

Impressed!
A song I have heard sung by many but first time as instrumental on the Dulcimer.
I like the recording and appreciate the sound quality.
Have you ever experimented with a good under-bridge pick up with a graphic and chorus unit?
It can be fun!
That was beautifully done.
