Martin........this is a wonderful carol and one which I remember hearing my grandmother and mother often play on Christmas eve. We always celebrated using the old German carols played on a stereo in the 1950's and exchanged gifts on Christmas eve. We did skip the candles on the tree and used electric lights instead....but the wurst, stollen and lebkuchen is really what I remember, especially if they came from Alfred and Ilse in Munich.........thank you for your work and bringing back memories from long ago.
