This is a Hard website to navigate for a computer Nerd. Lol. Anyway " desperately seeking susan ( or anyone else who can help me get started ). I live just North of Waco, Texas & searching for a group that MEETS to rehearse, perform, etc.
I must say that you all have me blushing...as if I wasn't doing that already. But thanks to one and all who have left such comments. I truly love the dulcimer family.
Ken, a friend of my who knows a little bit of my heritage and a closer association with music as she was the piano player for a singing group, the Hasbeens, bought this kilt at a thrift store. From what I can tell from the tag, it would be the tartan of Nova Scotia.
I have no immediate plans of taking up the pipes...not sure I want to do that to my hearing, nor those who would have to listen to me!
But, you never know...I did take a short class at a Gathering of Scots while visiting relatives in New Brunswick, Canada.
I wore a kilt many years ago when I was in a bagpipe band. Found it very comfy when the days were hot. What be its tartan, laddie? Might ye be tradin' a' one ofthem fine strummers for a set of pipes?
