This is my 99th Mountain Dulcimer (since I began numbering them). Made of Lacewood with Curly Maple and Mahogany with Black Walnut fingerboard overlay.
That's a nice looking dulcimer! I have a Modern Mountain Dulcimer made entirely of lacewood. It sounds great and has an almost hypnotic, translucent quality. In this pic you see that in the lower bout where the light is hitting the grain just right.
(P.S. I think you gotta break out the lawn mower, dude.)
Dusty- It's easy to become a fan of Lacewood- visually stunning and great tone wood also! I'll be your instrument is glorious.
(Oh, I got my wife right to work on the grass cutting- thanks for pointing that out! )
