Thank y'all so much! Robin is correct on his advice for those without the 1+ fret. The beauty of the 1+ fret is being able to do some things without any re-tuning, but there are ways around that as he pointed out. Jud, the Lost Sea is really cool. The cave itself isn't very spectacular, but the lake at the bottom of the cave is wonderful. Patty, careful not to scratch the fretboard lol!
For those without a 1+ you can still play John's tune. De-tune your dulcimer to CGc and place a capo at the first fret. Follow John's TAB or play along to the video counting your capo as '0'.
Nice job! Never seen a 1+ before--that would be a good thing to have! Also, I like the "Lost Sea" shirt There should be a dulcimer meetup there sometime.
Man, slow down! Is your heart rate OK? This song has the the bluesy feel of a slide guitar, but the temp is outta this world! Not too many noter/drone tunes like this one! Maybe I'll brew a pot of coffee and see if I can get close to it. Nice work, John, and thanks for the tab. Normally I can learn songs from watching videos, but your moving pretty fast on this one.
Thanks filipinouker! It's a very special instrument!
Thanks Dana! Patty, LOL!
wow
Thanks Robin!!! John, yep, I don't think I want to scratch the fretboard but it was a thought
Thanks Helen!

Careful John, you'll set fire to your fretboard

I hope so. I sure would like to try. Be better than trying to adapt a crochet hook I was thinking about that, lol
Thanks Patty! With a little practice, you can actually do bends with a noter.
I've seen this before and it's great!!! Thanks for posting the tab. I wonder if I can bend a string with a noter? LOL
Thanks y'all! Maybe posting the TAB separate might be useful for converting into a larger form.
