I guess the surprising thing (to me anyway) is that it isn't just the children. We have parents, grandparents, and teachers who have acquired dulcimers and participate in our weekly after-school program right along with the kids. It's sort of like the "village" mentality...everyone working together for a common good. I find myself amazed sometimes at how this little instrument can bring folks together!
Hey Anita, it's Karen...his other half...you should see how many of his children already have their own dulcimer before Bing came to visit...now the skies the limit! LOL
Randy Adams...you are an inspiration to myself and many others. It's the folks like you who help us to believe in ourselves and improve. Karen and I both appreciate you more than you'll ever know, and we look forward to seeing you in June! Thank you a bunch for the nice words!
Yeah I knew you when you were just a nobody!....but I knew you were gonna be a dulcimer star when you wowed the audience at D-ville...and now look at you...bright lights!...big city!...you gots the shizzle...f'sure....
Mike, I didn't take it that way at all...I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I sincerely took it as a compliment and appreciate it! Robin...thank you! We'll have to get together and compare our "cool factor" at some point lol.
Cool! I don't know about you, John, but I'm cooler when I'm around Bing.
I've had two wonderful memorable jam experiences with this tune-- and one of them was with a group of friends that included Bing. The other was with a group of friends at Jerry Rockwell's SEOhio Dulcimer Festival; I almost felt as though I was floating as we played & played JStinson's #2.
Thanks Wayne...we had a great time! Robin, first of all...thanks! Secondly, yes (to your question), but Bing has that cool Fishman (I believe) pick-up with the balance controls and battery pack. The sound was better balanced in the room, but the camera was about 10 feet from Bing's amp.
Thanks Steph. I see it more like "it won't be long until he carries me through three more shows" lol.
