Thanks Guys, It turned out pretty good. I will try and post a sound clip before shipping to the new owner. Cindy I use Poplar on most of my builds, usally all Poplar. It has a nice earthy tone, Look up some of Robin Clarks recordings where he used one of my Prichard repros . Poplar was a staple for building dulcimers in the beginning .

I love this dulcimer - how does the poplar sound? I don't think I have heard one made from poplar. I love the grain and the contrast with the walnut!
