Thanks Cindy. I like the sound of butternut. Butternut has a nice balanced tone between the highs and the lows. Its a light weight wood so is quite loud and free spirited. Not as bright as poplar not as mellow as black walnut. I cant wait to finish the model in the photo and test it out, still backed up with farm work... Bob.
These are beautiful! How does the butternut sound? Not sure I have ever heard one made of butternut!
