Father and son Dulcimer Duet! Christian playing his Seagull Dulcimer and I'm on my newly finished Appalachian Dulcimer. He's a fast learner! What fun :-)
Christian is advancing nicely in his dulcimer playing. He is now using the dulcimer I made for him now. He calls it "The Big Boy Dulcimer"! (It is half his size!) His repertoire is growing and he is now working on "Scotland the Brave". Playing dulcimers with my son and daughter is a beautiful opportunity I cherish.
Irene- thanks for your kind comments and he does like to help out at the work bench, although his attention span is limited as his imagination wanders off to soccer or something :-) And You are welcome John- I hope to share more in the future as well!
this is a precious post!! VERY COOL he seems to be left handed and that would take some tinkin? to watch him play the frets .....WHAT FUN. YES, TEACH HIM HOW TO WORK IN THE SHOP WITH YOU!!! aloha, irene
Looks like you're both enjoying yourselves! Bob, are you going to teach your son how to build dulcimers? He'd have a fine teacher.
Steven
Thanks Steven. I am glad he's interested in learning to play his dulcimer/guitar. Who knows, maybe he will want to build them as well (wouldn't that be cool!).
