Sound testing my newly built Scheitholt. Can be played either on table top or lap. I noticed less volume but a warmer tone when played on the lap as opposed on a table top.
Bill, yes the drones are strummed as well; I try to hit them on certain beats. When not actually strummed, they still do vibrate anyway, providing a subtle resonance ("sympathetic strings")

Does it make any difference to the sound using a possum board?
I haven't played it on a possum board, but my thought is that the sound will be even more full, like when played on a table.
