Cynthia and Terry Thanks!! Terry, I don't have access to any large birds( except roadrunners and they're too hard to catch!) so I get my quills at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. They are often dyed bright colors but I take off the feathers so I don't care.
Thanks Jeffrey and Jennifer! This was played on a Ron Gibson " Barbra Allen" model. I didn't write anything down, just played a tune that was floating around my head.
This is an original piece played with a quill, tuned DAC. In my part of the desert Southwest springtime means wind, sometimes blowing 30 to 40 mph (48 to 64 kph) all day with very little rain.

Charles, that's a really nice sound you got going on there. Real nice.
No kidding, when I ask you this. "Where do you get your quills?"
I just love your music, and you are no end to inspiration to draw - that look will make a great very simple painting...can't wait to do it.
