Thank you Helen! We've enjoyed it very much! I think that courting dulcimers are often overlooked and unfairly thought of as a novelty when in fact they can produce some very thick and pretty sounds.
Dusty, The nice thing about courting dulcimers is that, even if your spouse doesn't play as mine doesn't, you have the ability to carry two different tunings on one dulcimer. Saves space and time only having to flip the instrument around in your lap going from one to the other. Or have a luthier to make one for you with both fret boards in the same direction, you can even change keys easily in the middle of a tune.
Love the harmony, folks. Nice job. I would love to get a courting dulcimer, but since my wife doesn't play, a courting dulcimer would just invite trouble into my marriage.
Boy you guys are fast. I'm sorry for not getting on here sooner, but did realize there would be all these comments after one day. Thanks everyone for the kind words and for listening to the new baby. Her name is ladybug and John and I both love playing her. She does wobble a bit, but we're still getting adjusted to her. Richard Ash at Folkcraft deserves all the credit for making such a great sounding instrument. Thanks for listening everybody.

Thanks Glynda! That courting dulcimer is a hoot to play!
Thanks guys! Folkcraft outdid themselves on this one...just a wonderful instrument!
Great sound! You guys have the timing down. Good song too, coincidentally it's one I'm trying to learn. Much enjoyed.
Enjoyed the video a lot, great looking and sounding dulcimer.
Thank you George! We really have a good time. We appreciate you takin' a listen!

Thanks for watching Jennifer and I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thanks Dusty, Folkfan, and Jennifer! Jennifer, it's nice to see you back at FOTMD!
Thanks Dusty and the Folkfan. John and I have thought of the very same thing with having multiple tunings on one instrument. Cool thought!
Great rendition of a really lovely song.

Say John Henry....with the courting dulcimer there is just as much action going on underneath as above! ... : )....
