Played in the key of A on baritone and Ginger dulcimers tuned AEA. Filmed at the "Dulcimer Stories" CD release party (9/29/12) by Michael Futreal as things were winding down. This tune is not on the CD.
Thanks y'all! JH...bigfoot gumbo lol! Robin, we have been very satisfied with the Fishman amps. They have critics, but they seem to work very well for dulcimers. BG...Thanky man! Holler if we can help on your possible project!
That's a nice tone you are getting from that system John. You could always mic' the amp or DI it into the p/a for bigger venues. Mmmm...... I could do with putting an undersaddle on one of my Spaddys!
Wonderful playing! Looks like you had alot of fun. What a blessing that the two of you share this talent and passion with one another and all of us! Thanks
Thanks y'all! One of the coolest things about the mountain dulcimer is the endless possibilities of textures and timbres. We love to experiment with different sounds just to try and find something neat every now and then. The baritone/Ginger combo is a sound that we really like. Patty, they are an exclusive possum establishment lol!
I sure got a kick out of it. Another good one for sure You'll have to put this on your next cd. By the way, Squirrel Heads and Gravy....is that on the menu at Carrie's Cafe? LOL
Thanks CB! It's our same arrangement that we did a few months ago, just a different key and different instruments. We like how the Ginger and the baritone sound together.
Thanks Mandy! We really like the baritone/Ginger combination.
Great sound.
I behind on my thanks, so I just say a big howdie and thanks to all!!
Thanks Gayle! We messed with it a bit lol.

That sounded wonderful! Nice job. :)
Thanks Robin...much appreciated! We used Fishman "Loudbox" 60 watt amps, and the pickups are Piezo under-bridge (regular McSpadden installed).

What pick-ups and amps did you use for the gig John?
