Your right Robin it just asks to be played, even though it is a little bigger than the MawHee ,longer vsl and a tad wider, it still has good volume, not as bright as the smaller version due to the woods used I think ,it has a warmer tone.
You know it kind of does look like a work horse. Never thought of it that way, Robin. It sure enough looks like it meant to play and not hang on the wall so as not to mess it up. Just can't wait to start playing it.

I just think that it is wonderful to see builders and players embracing classic dulcimers once more - just wonderful
I hope that more and more musicians discover the unique sounds and playing styles of the instrument in its traditional form
