WELL....I must say....that is a beautiful fret board. What did you do, give them a fret board to do up like that? and then saved it for when you "got in the mood" to make another awesome dulcimer? Now about moving. I've lived in Hawaii, Tonga, California (I was raised there) and Canada, Utah......Ashland, Oregon was my favorite place........and visited other places. But I'll tell you....I totally loved Berea, Kentucky. It has everything a small town could ask for. Near enough to a big town. The small college is super great....folks I met in the town ....Warren May and his shop....ALL GOOD....If I didn't live in the round house of my dreams of 30 years, I'd move to Berea, Kentucky. you might need to talk a look there before moving. aloha, irene
"OH WOW" when I saw the fret board. Did you do all of that fine work too? Hey, will you come to Berea, Kentucky this year? and bring some of your awesome dulcimers. aloha, irene
Hi Irene- no I didn't do that abalone and MoP inlay work- that came from Vietnam. It's breathtaking.
I dont think I will be coming to Kentucky, though it looks like a great event. We are very committed on moving out of state, and looking at North Carolina now (rather than Virginia). It will be a lot of work!
That inlay is fantastic, Bob!
