Cut the left (endpin) end of the fretboard to about 15to 20 degrees, and cut a sharper angle -- 30 degrees or so, on the right (tuner) end. For tinwork, buy a squarish gift tin or cookie tin, from a dollar store if possible. These boxes have flat sides that should be long enough to cut nut and bridge plate strips from with tin snips. Use the bottom side with no color or printing on it, cut to width of fretboard (1-1/2") and bend, using a nail under the bends to stiffen the bump where the strings go over.
John Can you help me with the Tin work on the TMB I seem be able to find all the information I need on the box and the VSL. But I am at a loss when it comes to the tin work and the angle on the neck in the strum-hollower.
I know this is a year ago but this is sweet looking
Thanks John. I maybe have a tin like that around here somewhere like that. Time to raid the Wife's sewing room
