Hello Bob, thank you for finding time to comment ! Yep!, I appreciate your appraisal of the piece, entirely correct, but years of playing the tune in UK pub sessions where virtually seamless medleys progress end on end and lead to bad habits, plus the fact that I am always concious that with the wealth of musical expertise to be found on this site it is easy to outstay ones welcome ???
Have a good Holiday John

John, You missed a part. Its what fiddler William Steppe called the " Bona_part". or the A part. Your A part is usually the B part of the tune and your B part is often called the little Egypt riff that is not generally recognized as part of the tune, at least by oldtimers. Great job just the same... Check out Slippery Hill web site they have the diffinative collection of Bonaparte tunes for download... Bob
loving , thanks for comment, as for talent lol, I just play the things, don't rate mesel as a player, more of a maker/player, can't read SMN, and me fingers find it difficult to chord, but I like to try to play a variety of types of music, mainly by ear. I did for a long time try to follow other more 'established' methods of playing to no avail, so if I had to give one piece of information to any beginner it would be to enjoy what you are trying to do, and not feel stifled by trying to do it 'proper'. What are you using for a noter?
best wishes lovin,

best wishes

Wonderful, wonderful, John! That Hensley has a fine mellow tone and the octave tuning gives nice drones. Well done, my friend!

Very nice sound you've got going there.
I love all your videos, but I have to say, I like this one, especially the "Persian Market" section in it.
