Thanks Naomi, you are so sweet. The pictures are awesome, Goschi, and so is your new vid. Great stuff.

Thanks Brian, its a beautiful day here as well. Unfortunately, I've been working out in the yard. Lots of digging, mud slingin' and transplanting stuff. It's not all that fun, but it needed to be done. I can't wait til after lunch, so I can get back to some practicing. LOL

Naomi (sorry I missed your question...I guess I was typing). It is a hardwood from Africa.

Thanks BG! We look forward to your next tune. Goschi, those ukes are gorgeous...like WOW gorgeous! Thanks for posting those pics! We had no idea that the Bigfoot soundholes were available now, but we knew it was coming pretty soon. Thanks for the link! Naomi...we are very flattered!

Loved it. The flute, the dulcimer, the tune, the performance...all of it. :) Nice way to spend some time on a beautiful Saturday morning. Thanks K & J!

Zebra wood is not only a beautiful and interesting wood, I also appreciate its qualities as a tone wood. I've got two (almost identical apart from the fact, that one has a regular sized body and the other one is a "slim" model) ukuleles made of zebra wood. And a Cajon with a zebra wood front. All of them look and sound great!

So again: congrats on your "Bigfoot" dulcimer, great choice of wood and design!

32_videos.jpg By the way, I just found out that the "Bigfoot" seems to be a "regular" soundhole option for Folkcraft dulcimers now. Not inexpensive, but available... :) I am lucky, there aren't any bigfoots around here in Germany - otherwise I'd also like to have a dulcimer like yours some day... Grin.gif

Naomi, you are so sweet! The zebrawood really has an outstanding sound. I wasn't a hundred percent sure about how the sound would be while in the planning phase, but I love the way it seems to fit between walnut and cherry in terms of sound quality...a very rich and vibrant sound. I'm a tad surprised that more people haven't discovered the Native American flute. They really have a unique quality and work well with other instruments or by themselves. We thank you again for takin' a look. If we can be of help just let us know! Smile.gif

Thanks Mike, Kevin, Gayle, Sue, Kimberly, and Dennis and I'm glad that you all enjoyed the music. It was a hoot and a holler to work on. Hey Dennis... that's cool. How are the John Hawk flutes? I haven't tried them. Do they play in tune? How do they sound? Details....LOL Maybe you will post a vid soon so I can give her a listen. Hummmmmm???

That was very nice. I have also taken up the NAF to go along with the MD. I have two Island Flutes by Ray, an F# and a new B that I just got at UNICOI from John Hawk. I have a couple of other flutes too. My wife and I are teaming up the flute with her Angel Wing Harp in DAA. They do sound wonderful together. Thanks for sharing your tune and your instruments.
