My first dulcimore build along with Dulcimore Dan who built the stapleboard for me. Old poplar for the top and back from a house thought to have been built in the 1880s or 1890s. You can see some nail holes. Remainder is walnut.

I love to see those really old nail/screw holes. Imagine if the guy who hammered in those nails could see what became of the wood over 100 years later! clapper
