Irene, just look them up on Google and see what-all shows up! There are many folks selling them.
thanks John, I was wanting to use such pegs in the future of making Dulcimers. Thanks for your clear answer. Where do you order your pegs from when you want some dulcimer to be easily tuned as the Perfection or the Witttner pegs offer? aloha, irene
really beautiful instrument. I notice you mention "black perfection pegs". How come you didn't like those? other then wanting EVERYTHING to be TOTALLY authentic? Because I'm thinking about using those or the Wittmer pegs on the dulcimer I'm making in the shop. I've read nothing but good on these types of tuning pegs. I want to totally get away from Chinese Banjo tuning pegs. aloha, irene
Irene, I wanted to duplicate the Sam Russell design as much as possible, so the pegs needed to be of a light color. I used Perfection pegs at the start because they were available at the time. I then made some pegs out of maple to replace them. So if I just wanted easy-to-use pegs, and wasn't duplicating an existing prototype, I would have left them on.
Sam would be proud, John!
