Isn't it nice to be able to rescue something from the dumpster? You gave that wood a new and better purpose. I'm sure that dulcimer sounds sweet. It is a beauty
Thank you Helen, Cynthia ! This one, except for the Butternut top, constructed from timber rescued from a rubbish skip (dumpster?) is probably my favourite to play, luverly tone, easy action, with just a few more frets than my other instruments ! Tried hard to play 'the proper way' with this one, all to no avail, those noters of mine seem to have a compelling force behind 'em !
I'm thinking this is the first mean tone dulcimer you made in 2001, and what a beauty she is. Lynn, this is one I think you need to copy, mean tone and all. Very very beautiful JH.
02/22/10 04:26:59PM @strumelia: Very beautiful. Wow, I can actually SEE the just tempered fret spacings, as opposed to the usual equal tempered fret layout. AWESOME.
Very nice John Henry. That is an instrument of which you can be proud. Enjoy.
