Hello Louis, you've been digging deep into the video section ! However.........! are you suggesting that I am an uncultured person? If so I am mortified . I have you know that I read a book once , and it was the sort with no pictures , lol.
Thank you very much for making comment, keep on digging, there is a wealth of great music and informationto be found here, offered by some amazingly helpful people!
Thank you Carrie, comment appreciated ! The instrument was made as a standard, (27"VSL) but after reading postings here, I decided to put some heavier strings on, and was pleased with the result. Its the one I use to 'sing to mesel!'

Hi John,
I love those old shanties - and the dulcimer is just a perfect instrument for them
I did a gig in Aberdovey a couple of week's ago with Phil and Martin Hugill - they are Stan's sons.

Very nice there John, you're even in costume for the occasion. Striped shirt and bare feet.
I really enjoy your singing and your playing John Henry.
This one makes me imagine the ocean spray on my face....it really has the feel of the sea somehow. Nicely done!
