ZOOM Handy Video Recorder Played noter drone on a Cherry, Cedar, and Rosewood dulcimer, tuned DAc. This for Steph, who is decidedly 'under the weather' and w...
Hi, I've had a couple ofEmails asking about the apparent scrawls on the cedar soundboard of the instrument being played. They are the signatures of some of the people who have played it,( including that of Jean Ritchie). The back of my favourite HD has even more ! Sad, or what , lol.
Compliment indeed Robin, thank you ! I freely 'gift' them to you, lol ! (Have'nt forgotten the package, got a duff printer at the moment !)
best wishes
John
ps When I next get the opportunity of some respite care, can I come and stay with you ? Good company, magic music, and fine wines, and all that scenery , I'll happily deal with the hangover , loved thatlast posting !!!
That was the intention ff, lets hope it works ! Robin, have you ever considered the thought that the noter vibrato mentioned is the natural result of realising what a talented group of 'peers' I am playing too. Likely to give anyone the shakes.........
Nicely played, John H. It's sure to encourage Steph. Hoping to hear from her soon.

Hey, Steph, Keith has let John H know you may be posting soon! So, you know John is waiting for your insightful comment on this video. :) Love and hugs from me!PS-Is that noter vibrato cool or what!
Keith ! What a great piece of news to start the day with ! Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Give her a (gentle) hug from me, and tell her I'm thinking perhaps animation involving Roosters in tutu's ?
thoughts often with you both, I presume to think that my current experience with a sick loved one maybe gives me an insight as to how you feel these days ?
Thank you for listening Robin and Rob ! I truely hope she gets to hear it, she was ever a 'clever' critic of what I do , and wait for her comment with interest !
JohnH.... That was great. Loved the vibrato with the noter (note to self: practice that!) If that doesn't put a grin on her face, I'll be very surprised. Glad you thought of doing it!

This will put a smile on the face of our dear Geekling, John!
Hello James, thank you for watching and making comment. Nothing 'top end' about the dulcimer i'm afraid, it's one I made in ' 86, like me a bit bent and battered now ! THo' on the other hand it has been in the hands of Jean Ritchie, Maddie Mcneil, Lorraine Lee Hammond, Roger Nicholson, Mary Mason to name but a few, so for me It is 'top end' !
K. thought that you and J would appreciate my giggle, truth be told I've played 'Cluck' so many times on both MD &HD it was interesting just to muck about with it for Steph !
, Cheryl, Dusty and Wayne, you have all been around here long enough to know her 'kookie' approach to life, so probably well understand my approach to this project.
Ken, she has been an active participant here for a long time, if she hears it and it does good, then I am sure we would all be very happy ! 'course on the other hand .........hmmmmmmm
Comment appreciated Mike , she surely is a fighter !!!
John
My pleasure Geekling, great to hear from you,
