There are also harmony parts and beg and adv parts on some tunes. You can see it and order from my web sight lindabrockinton.com .
This is so beautiful, Linda! Do you have an arrangement for this to sell/share? I have tab for Water is Wide, but not for Carrickfergus.

Hey Patty... Yes mam I bought the loudest dulcimer I could find and intended to learn every fiddle tune written. I did that for 7 yrs and had a group called The Cotton Picken dulcimer Pickers. We picked and grinned all over the place. Then 3 things happened. First I bought a cd called Autumn in the Valley by Neal Hellman and the wonderful musicians at Gourd music. I loved it so talked to the group and we changed our direction and name to Heartstrings. I also about the same time went into a shop where a girl was fingerpicking the dulcimer and I fell in love with the quiet mellow sound . I started trying to fix fingerpick patterns to all the songs I already knew. Then I took a class in the summer from Barbara Ernst who had a wonderful fingering and chord shape left hand system . I had to change my fingerings and learned the chord shapes which was an eye opener. I finally , after 8 years , could clearly see how this instrument worked. The rest is very obsessive history. For at least 10 yrs I rarely sat down that a dulcimer was not in my lap practicing to smooth out things one measure at a time over and over and over..... I'm not right lol.
Linda, that is special . Very soothing. I have a question for you. When you first started playing a dulcimer did you start with strumming and then move on to finger picking or did you go to finger picking from the start?
