We miss you too, Patty, although this has not been the year to hold our Wartz 'n All gatherings. Luckily we have a member of our local group here in central PA that has a cabin out in the state forest where we can gather wearing masks and social distancing. October was our last get together until some time next spring. There is a small group of us from The Traditional Mountain Dulcimore site who gather on Zoom on Tuesday evenings to learn new tunes and play together. It gives me something to do while I await open heart surgery in late December or January.
Take your time and start playing again. Just play a little each day, maybe no more than 5 minutes and then gradually increase it after a month or two. Then you will be able to come to the next Wartz gathering in late March or April.
Thanks Dusty! When I did pick up the dulcimer again well after physical therapy I discovered that I lost a bit of muscle memory so to speak and I felt like I was starting all over again. It was discouraging to say the least but I do need to make time to start again even if it's from scratch. I miss you too!!!
Yes! And I miss those times. Haven't played much at all since surgery three years ago. I think my mistake was playing too soon after surgery and not waiting until after PT. Should have done PT first. I had pain after playing for about 20 minutes. Maybe I'll get back into it again. I miss those guys.
Ken, I will keep you in my prayers. Yes, I would love to come to another Wartz gathering. I would love to see you all again.

And we miss you, Patty! It's nice to see you posting again! I'd love to hear that you're starting to play again (slowly, at first).

What a great photo, Patty.
