The bridge shown here has been replaced with one which is 1/4" thick, (this and a new nut fashioned from Black Buffalo Horn) housed into the fretboard, and 'sculpted' to give give near perfect intonation at this stringing, bit of an overkill for noter drone, but I shan't be around for ever !!! IMO the bone gives a better sound than the ebony shown in the pic ?

That is really a beautiful instrument John....it looks so old timey....i want to reach out and strum it! (would be a long reach, I know!) :)
