I always like me some extra space between the melody string and the middle string. Because sometimes I inadvertently let my noter tip drift too far towards the middle string and ruin the sound of what i'm playing. D'oh!! I hate when that happens, so I like the extra space.
I can only hope folks appreciate the originality in your pieces Bobby. Your peg (pin) heads are second to none and I'm very proud to call you friend! Merry Christmas!
Robin, thanks for your uplifting comment. I know ypu take the noter/drone style very seriously.
I am thinking this instrument should make a great storytelling tool. Play a little, talk a little, again and again. Who knows, though, I'm just excited. My brain is at work.
The string placement is interesting. Pondering on this idea, I think it will work well for me and how I play. I often lead with just the melody string.
@Strumelia
I agree! I'm especially bad when I have to make a long slide to the higher octave. Awefullest racket. Lol

I'm guessing you'll like the string arrangement, Terry.
This critter is a beauty and I can vouch for Bobby's workmanship-- my Shoat he built looks and sounds wonderful!
