I should have said manufacturer because that is what it actually says. Notice his name has t. I understand it should be Prichard. It's not unusual for census takers to make mistakes in spelling. I saw my uncle on the 1940 census. His name is also Charles but census taker made an error and put down F instead of M for male. You would think after writing his name he wouldn't have made that mistake....probably was not looking across the line correctly...it happens
