That is a beautiful chair.  Thanks for posting a photo of it.  Dulcinia

Dulcinine, It's a corner chair (from a set), hand-made in Vietnam of solid Rosewood with a  burled rosewood seat. I purchased them when I was visiting 12 years ago. Here's a photo.

Is it an adjustable chair on wheels.  What is it exactly.

Dulcinina, yup that chair has arm rests. I don't play on it regularly for that reason, but I just didn't want to switch it with an armless one at the moment I decided to make the video (#BeingSoLazy)

Hi Bob, What kind of chair are you using in this video?  It looks like you might be resting your right arm on a short armrest.  I'm looking to find a way to support my strumming arm.  Dulcinina

Hi Dusty- I just watched your video playing if you playing "Morning Blues" on Dave's student model dulcimer. Sounds great! Thanks for your kind compliment also. I think Dave's dulcimer sounds super, no smalll part due to your excellent playing (and daughter's accompaniment !)

Sounds great, Bob!  I have a student model dulcimer made by David Lynch of poplar ply and it has a really nice punch to it. I'm not sure if that's due to the poplar or the fact that its plywood rather than solid wood, but it's a great sounding dulcimer.  From what I can tell mediated through the computer, yours is too.  Nice work!

I was happy with the sound that Poplar makes. Warm-ish but can ring on the high notes well also. I will be glad when the student's teacher gives it a play and a review !

Sounds great! I’ve been thinking about the next dulcimer build being made with poplar.

That's a really good sound from a very nice dulcimer.
