Hi Gary .. Thanks so much. I generally tune to mixolydian CGC. Same as Mix. In DADS just a step lower. I use 10-14-24 and on the bass I use D'Addario semi-flat phosphorus Bronze string that is squeekless. I like the CGC better because I like the mellow sound, hammer Ons and pull offs are much easier and also much easier key to sing in. Of course new strings are a must if it's been tuned to DAD very long because they will be floppy. I also play in Bflat F Bflat often as it is a better singing key. All DAD music played the same in these tunings because the are all mixolydian 1-5-8 tunings. DAD is not a tuning but jus a key in mix tuning. You have a very blessed day and thank you for listening.

I usually only play my maple mc. Because it has long sustain for fingerpicking. CGC my favorite. Strings looser , Ho and Po cleaner and easier. 10 melody string 14 and 24 semi flat wound D'Addario bass

Lol ... I'm a little challenge oriented. That's what I love about music , each piece is a puzzle begging to be worked. If its fast it can be faster, if its clean it can be cleaner , sweet - sweeter. One measure at a time, one phrase at a time. I have been so caught up in teaching I was getting really bored. It dawned on me that I hadn't learned anything new in awhile. Found Lasses a couple of days ago and dug in. Haven't slept much but it's gettin there . Still has some muscle glitches that are quite in there yet . Can't wait to play it some more today. Thanks for posting!!

When I close my eyes and listen to this its unthinkable that you are playing an instrument with only three strings!! Just beautiful....you show what a dulcimer can really be.

Thanks y'all. I posted a second one of right hand. Not much going on their. I pinch the outer strings a lot , thumb does the melody wk, pointer the middle string and bass by the middle finger. Lots of HO, PO, and slides on left hand. Sorry so many mistakes in sec version. Brain tired I guess. The other one has less mistakes. I love learning the fast ones. I call it finger fun...
