Thanks! It's poplar with a few coats of tung oil (buffing with fine steel wool in between coats) and finish of paste wax. I did use synthetic horse hair as I understand it will not be affected by humidity. It was a bit tough to flex it to get the string in place but I used my husband's vice to hold it. I also put a dot of glue on the knots to keep the knot from coming undone.
