Thanks Dan, many of the dulcimers that I have made are/were constructed with whatever materials I have/had to hand, but this one I decided would be different, I went for what I thought might give me a particular sound,and while since first finishing it I have increased the total size of the sound holes, it pretty much gives me the sound that I was looking for!Best wishesJohnH
